Whether you are a network administration or a developer working with network protocols or just want to know what's happening on your LAN (local area network) you need a packet sniffer. CommView allows you to capture traffic from any type of LAN either by directly connecting your computer to the network - or by installing an agent that allows you to access the network remotely.
Once data has been captured CommView provides excellent analysis features allowing you a see everything from a single packet up to the top network layer. CommView automatically recognizes all well-known protocols - and even lets you reconstruct TCP sessions, so that you can view and examine e.g. HTTP traffic.
