MPlayer

MPlayer is an open source movie player originally made for Linux. Today, however, a number of platforms are supported - and it is most likely the movie player that supports the most formats. Everything from playing DVDs, DivX/MPEG4 to all sorts of streaming media (including WMV, Quicktime, Real) is supported. Additionally MPlayer is able to convert between most of the support formats. This also allows it to e.g. grab or record streaming music and save is as an MP3 file. |
