SPSS is a collection of data and predictive analytics tools for business and statistical programmers. It can be used to figure out potential costs savings or organize data in order to make better decisions, among other things.
SPSS can produce attractive reports from data; it has bar graphs, charts and other visual aids that are helpful in displaying your results to non-statisticians. It even includes features that allow you to publish your results on the internet so that you can share with others. You can use linear and non-linear models as well as customized tables.
In appearance SPSS is similar to Excel, something most people working with statistics are familiar with. You can import data from other programs using ODBC (open database connectivity). Knowing the format of the variable you are looking for isn't necessary in order to find it in the data set. A series of menus and sub-menus simplifies searching for variables. If you change your mind or make a mistake, just highlight the variable and click to move it back to the original list.
There's an output navigator that lets you change the titles and font and add your own notes to the output and you can individualize charts and tables exactly the way you want to.
With SPSS it's easy and quick to analyze all sorts of data. You can save your tables and files in different formats such as ASCII, Excel and others.
